Our display stand, with a "re-worked"

Once again, we were in our "usual place" in Hanger
3. 
For our display, we decided to do something different
and reprised our "Fly Navy" theme from Scale
Modelworld 2005. We put 137 models on our display, 2 in 1/32nd scale, 7 in
1/48th scale and all the rest in 1/72nd scale, built by 6 of our SIG
members.
More than just the model show, this time it
was part of a much larger "Flugplatzfest" (Airfield Festival) with other
attractions such as Veterans Groups, Military displays, radio controlled model
aircraft flying and displays by the Berlin Polizei Motorcycle Display Team. A
number of the Museum's aircraft were also opened up for the public to see
and/or go inside. |
