As frequent/regular supporters of our great friends
in IPMS Belgium, it was practically a no-brainer that we would go and support
them when they moved their National show "Plastic & Steel" to another new
venue, this time in Putte, south of Antwerp.
Glad to say that the change in venue was a success and
the show had the same friendly atmosphere that we are always used to at a
Belgian show. Aside from those of us who travelled from the UK, we were also
joined by ADTSIG members from Germany and the Netherlands, all of whom brought
models for the display. So it was great to meet up and spend a few days with
everybody - 11 of us in all - in Belgium.
But this time, it is true to say that the large
"U-Shaped" layout of the tables meant that our display was probably the most
unusual configuration that we have ever been presented with ! However, the
positives were that we had plenty of room, both for the layout of models and
for the relatively large group of us to be behind the stand. Plus.... we
were near to the bar !! ;-)
So, another new venue in another "new" town for us
- but as usual, we had a great time getting together with many friends, to not
only enjoy the model show, but of course also sample th4e delights of all the
food and beer that Belgium is so famous for !
Thanks again to IPMS Belgium and all those involved
in running the show, for not only making the very successful transition to
another completely new venue, but still making us all so welcome - as
always ! |
