After a short break, 2008 saw us once again back at
one of our favourite shows, in one of our favourite venues - the Brussels Air
Museum.
Their show is normally held every two years, except
there was no show in 2006, due to some renovation and refurbishment work being
carried out in the Museum. But in 2008 it was on again - and we were back !
The popularity of this show, it's location, ease of
transport - not to mention the hospitality of our Belgian hosts and friends -
meant that this year saw the largest British contingent yet at a Brussels
show.
Not only was the ADTSIG there " in force" with nine
SIG members, but we were also joined by the IPMS(UK) French Air Forces SIG,
Bomber Command SIG, F-4 Phantom SIG, as well as IPMS(UK) Branches West Sussex
and Ipswich.

There are 152 models on the display, 1 in 1/32nd
scale, 7 in 1/48th and all the rest in 1/72nd scale, built by 8 of our SIG
members.
As happened previously four years ago, this weekend
also happened to coincide with the Belgian Beer Festival in the Grand Place,
Brussels....! |
